Can anyone join the platform?
User approval is required to gain full access to the SALYX® platform. If you are a UK-Based Hair Stylist, Barber or Salon Owner with the correct right to work documents, you can join the SALYX® platform. Here are the other approval criteria for Hair Stylists/Barbers and Salon Owners.

To get approved, the SALYX® Team will be in touch to verify your profile and undergo a vetting interview. Generally, the requirements will be as follows:
- UK Citizenship
- Right to Work documentation
- Valid contact information
- Evidence of commitment to hair styling/barbering
What are the User Approval Criteria for Salon Owners?

- Paid subscription
- Based in the UK
- Valid contact information
- Introductory call
- Evidence of an active storefront
How do chair rentals work on SALYX®?
Salon owners list available chairs with pricing, facilities, and booking terms. Stylists and barbers browse, filter, and request to book directly through the platform all with built-in messaging tools for clarity and confidence. We also support in drafting licensing terms between the salon and the renter for transparency and assurance.
Is SALYX® available in my area?
If you're based in the UK, SALYX® is available for you to join.
As a Salon Host, can I approve a booking before confirmation?
Yes. Bookings will always need approval by the Salon Host before confirmation of payment from the Stylist or Barber.
Can I build a professional profile on SALYX®?
